His Willful Bride by Maggie Carpenter is the story of spirited Lady Charlotte Winthrop and Lord Edward Pemberly III, the man intent on taming Lady Charlotte. Charlotte was orphaned at a young age when both her parents died and she was sent to live with her Uncle Hugo and Aunt Mildred, a childless couple, who had problems dealing with the spirited Charlotte. Charlotte has known her aunt wants her to marry quickly and leave her house, but after the many men she's met and found boring and tedious, she is wary of meeting Lord Edward ... until she feels something she's never felt before: an unexplained attraction. Lord Edward has heard stories of Charlotte and, at first meeting her, feels a pull towards her. After this brief meeting, he determines she is the one he wants to marry. Is Charlotte the woman for Edward? Can Charlotte handle Edward's wicked ways? Will their match be a happy one full of love or one full of anger and regret?
His Willful Bride by Maggie Carpenter is well written with amazing imagery that places you right there with Charlotte and Edward as their story unfolds. His Willful Bride is unique but the relationship between Charlotte and Edward isn't traditional and may be considered risky by many. With vivid sex scenes that gives you a view into the world of dominants and submissives, His Willful Bride isn't for the faint of heart or those with a closed mind. The relationship between Edward and Charlotte displays the true trust and underlying feelings of that kind of relationship, which is the biggest reason that I loved His Willful Bride so much: it gives a good glimpse into the relationship that is realistic and what almost every submissive is hopeful to find. I couldn't put His Willful Bride down!
