How To Meditate in Just 2 Minutes: Easy Meditation for Beginners and Experts Alike! (Practical Techniques for Relaxation, Mindfulness, Quiet Mind & ASMR), written by Phil Pierce, is a terrific resource and guide for anyone seeking information and tips on meditating. This book begins by stressing that meditation does not have to be a long, complicated, drawn out ordeal; in fact all you need is two minutes! The benefits of meditation are varied, including improved sleep, less stress, and increased brain function, just to name a few. The actual act of meditating is discussed, including various positions and cushions that can be used. Throughout this book, there are tips to help this experience work for each person and help each person to realize and achieve the benefits for themselves. Also, there are photographs interspersed throughout the text.
I really enjoyed Phil Pierce’s book, and found this to be an extremely useful guide. I have never really known too much about meditation or wanted to, in fact. However, I have recently learned the benefits of mindfulness in myself and others and I was intrigued by this book. I was even further intrigued once I began to read this book, as it is written in a straight-forward way with everyday language so that I was able to easily understand it and did not feel overwhelmed. I will be referring back to this book time after time, and I highly recommend it to anyone who needs or wants to reduce stress in their lives and in general just feel more healthy and relaxed.
