Kate Morgan loves her job of matchmaking for clients at Binary Search. She has the task of fixing up celebrity Nicholas Wells and making the reputation of her matchmaking company fly high in Narcissistic Tendencies: Dating by Design, Book Three by Jennifer Peel. Meeting Nicholas Wells and fixing him up romantically is a magical moment for Kate as he was her childhood crush. She knows he is egotistical and a narcissist and Kate was once married to a narcissist. Though she is attracted to Nicholas, she is sure that she does not want to repeat her mistake. Will she succeed in hiding her attraction for this playboy and staying away from his charm or will she fall for it again?
I like the way the two characters, Nicholas and Kate, have been portrayed; their insecurities, chemistry between each other, and the fear of falling in love again make them both real and tangible to readers. The character of Skylar, Nicholas's fifteen-year-old daughter, and how she manages to work her way into Kate’s heart is the other angle in the plot that has been handled well. The relationship between Nicholas and his daughter is relatable and will also remain in the minds of readers for a long time. The author’s fluidity in expression gives a good pace and movement to the story and pulls in readers, making them curious to know what is going to happen next. This love story is refreshing and readers will wait with bated breath for the first kiss between Kate and Nicholas. The tender moments and endearing romance make this third volume a good read.
