The gradual development of William and Miriam's relationship was beautifully depicted, highlighting the challenges they faced amidst extraordinary circumstances. I loved the close narrative viewpoint, allowing us to see every emotional challenge up close and read between the lines for the impact they have on one another. Brown's exploration of the consequences of time travel and the impact of government interference added an original twist of intrigue to the plot that was explored well and in keeping with the novel’s logic.
