Dede Stockton creates an exciting adventure for children through her Sammi Jo Adventure series. Sammi Jo and the Best Adventure Ever is the third in this series and is perfect for children with vivid imaginations. Sammi Jo and her cousin Jake have made several trips into the ocean to meet their aquatic friends. One day the ocean creatures are very quiet and edgy. Further inquiry reveals there have been rumors of a sea dragon, Drakon, who is stirring up trench creatures to cause a rebellion. Fear strikes the peace-loving Merpeople, dolphins, seahorses, and other creatures. Sammi Jo helps them to come up with a plan but hopes harmony can be restored. Meanwhile, Sammi Jo's parents are looking into adopting another child. What will Sammi Jo's reaction be to sharing her home, parents, and adventures?
Sammi Jo and the Best Adventure Ever is entertaining for young children while teaching social skills. Dede Stockton creates an eight-year-old girl who likes to make friends with people and animals. Sammi Jo readily accepts new friends and looks for the good in people, even if they've made a mistake in the past. She is eager to share and looks for solutions to problems. I love how Sammi Jo is optimistic about everything. The author shows children a loving home and a family that celebrates the blessings in life as they continually look for the best in others. The author blends an ocean adventure with some mystical creatures and a family that encourages each other. The author makes this adventure available in paperback, kindle, and audible. The illustrations are great in this novel and add more to the storyline.
