Author Biography

Todd is a proud veteran of the United States Air Force. He served at NORAD and Air Force Space Command headquarters and NAS Keflavik, Iceland. His hobbies include biking, hiking and spectator sports, especially the Indy 500. The arts are another passion, especially live music and movies. The first book Todd remembers reading for enjoyment was The Omen by David Seltzer. He found it in the school library and couldn't put it down. After that, Todd read The Hunt for Red October and was hooked on techno-thrillers. Tom Clancy and Michael Crichton were major influences. He is also a self-proclaimed Star Wars geek (the original trilogy), so meshing the two genres for The Reaper Series was a lot of fun.

When an alien ship crashes in North Korea, the USA fears that the superior technology from the ship could shift the global balance of power in the favor of DPRK. Consequently, Ava, a top United States Air Force Academy graduate, is sent by her country to go into North Korea on a perilous mission. It involves stealing the alien ship while risking starting a war by upsetting the country's tyrannical leader. Meanwhile, another threat to Earth is revealed when a displaced alien warns of other aliens who would do anything to extract Earth's resources if they found out about them. Will humans unite to defend themselves against technologically superior extraterrestrials or destroy themselves first with their hunger for power? Steal the Reaper (The Reaper Series Book 1) by Todd Hosea is an irresistible and suspense-filled sci-fi tale about a likely alien invasion, espionage, and high-stakes international missions.

Todd Hosea's creation of calamitous situations and a sense of urgency is all that's needed to make you forget about the real world and follow this dangerous mission. Steal the Reaper focuses on the micro aspects and the real-time actions of its main characters, but also shifts the perspective to a macro view. This reveals the political stance of power-seeking countries and the impact of their decisions on the future of the world. If you love narratives about aliens, you will be captivated by the vivid descriptions of extraterrestrials and their unique way of life, advanced technology, and different biology. I enjoyed the book's complex strategies, neatly woven multiple viewpoints, and fascinating worldbuilding involving sophisticated intruders. I can't wait to continue the fun in the sequel.
