Hop on for an edge-of-your-seat action-adventure journey through the cosmos with Max Ferrada's Stellarlands. This graphic novel follows the exploits of Daffney, a superhero tasked with the mission to retrieve leftover intel from a remote support station at one of the moons of the world of Apolaki. The enemy is converging and is close to discovering the station. Daffney arrives at the moon and soon finds herself attacked by hostiles. She comes across two kids whose parents lost their lives in the previous war, and now, Daffney is eager to take them off the moon. However, she is suffering from alcohol withdrawal. Will she succeed in her mission? And at what cost?
Do you like superheroes? If the answer's yes, you are in for a treat with Stellarlands. With a splendid combination of action, suspense, humor, and vibrant artwork, Max Ferrada delivers a gripping installment that any graphic novel or comic book reader will have a blast with. Ferrada drops the reader into the midst of things from the get-go, and with each passing page, you become more and more immersed in the story. Ben Worrell's fantastic sketches complement Ferrada's storytelling beautifully and bring life to the characters' personalities and emotions so that you find yourself invested in their arcs. I also enjoyed Ferrada's witty dialogue, which made the character interactions so much more entertaining. Imagine Captain Marvel being a sarcastic drunk, and you will end up with someone like Daffney. Overall, this is a brilliant book for fans of superhero stories.
