For a fifteen-year-old, Noah Jordan had a lot riding on his shoulders. He grew up having visions he could not understand. His grandparents, who had special gifts and lived near an enchanted forest in Michigan, believed he was special and wanted to nurture him. But his father wanted none of it. He preferred that Noah follow in his older brother’s footsteps, a rising star athlete, whom he clearly loved more than he did Noah. After experiencing a strange vision that leaves him unsettled, Noah heads to Michigan, despite his father’s disapproval, to get help from his grandparents. Soon, he is presented with an ancestral relic and finds himself faced with a call of destiny. He must brave an interdimensional journey that sends him to ancient, powerful kingdoms and sets him up against a savage alien race in a perilous quest to save two worlds. Does Noah have what it takes to tread the path fate has carved out for him? Find out in C. W. Phillips’ Stormbringer: A Relic of Lost Atlantis.

This page turner will seize you by the scruff of your neck, propel you forward, and remain relentless, only loosening its grip after the final word. C. W. Phillips' Stormbringer is a must-read for lovers of young adult coming-of-age epic fantasy novels flavored with adventure, thrills, drama, edge-of-the-seat suspense, plot twists, cliffhangers, and more. Weaving an ingenious plot, Phillips yanked me away from the ordinary and set me adrift in a universe of endless, magnificent imagination. The evocative cinematic depictions made me feel as though I was right beside the exciting, dynamic cast, closely following them as the scenes unfolded. I got swept away in a whirlwind of family drama, tough choices, friendship, loyalty, survival, sacrifices, secrets, mythical power, and more. I appreciate the evident research that went into the mythic and ancient world history. The lively character-driven conversations, entwined with witty banter and introspection, gave depth to the cast’s conflicts, intricate emotions, and complex traits. I loved this book.

Stormbringer: A Relic of Lost Atlantis by C.W. Phillips follows teenager Noah Jordan, whose psychic abilities are kept secret, while his grandparents see them as key to defending the forest beside their farm. He dreams of sporting glory, but a crystal called Stormbringer changes everything, pulling him into visions of another world. He finds himself in Keb, a land shaped by ancient civilizations and lingering magic. Facing enemies who threaten both his world and this new one, Noah is forced to confront fears he never knew he had. To protect both realms, he must learn to harness powers he barely understands and make choices that could alter the fate of everything he cares about. "There are plenty of baseball players. How many people can speak to the crystal kingdom?”

Stormbringer by C.W. Phillips is an adventurous journey that mixes history, myth, and action in many wonderful ways. The world-building and landscapes are top-notch, from deserts scattered with ancient skeletons to jungles bathed in a mysterious blue light, in every step of Noah's hero quest, and that's really what this first novel in the series establishes: it's near cinematic. There is an Atlantis connection, but this is not an Atlantis story. This is fresh and new, and Noah's path is full of unexpected encounters, clever strategies, and notable discoveries. Like Noah, all the characters are fully fleshed out, with Sukarsa being the standout, and they spark excitement throughout. Overall, Stormbringer is a bold, inventive, and excellent story worth the time investment, and I look forward to seeing what comes next. Very highly recommended.

Stormbringer: A Relic of Lost Atlantis by C.W. Phillips is a young adult epic fantasy with plenty of action and adventure to keep you entertained for hours. The story follows fifteen-year-old Noah Jordan, a boy who dreams of becoming a star athlete like his older brother. But his life takes an unexpected turn when he inherits Stormbringer, a powerful crystal artifact from his grandparents. The Stormbringer unlocks hidden psychic gifts that shake Noah to the core. Drawn by visions, Noah steps through a portal in the enchanted forest to Keb, a parallel world rooted in the ancient kingdom of Kush and infused with the magic of lost Atlantis. Guided by an interdimensional warrior, Noah must confront his fears and doubts while battling the sinister Ure. These are invaders threatening not only Keb but Earth as well. The responsibility of protecting both worlds is on Noah’s shoulders. Will he become the unlikely hero for both worlds? Or will he crumble under pressure?

Author C.W. Phillips created a wonderfully crafted and brilliantly executed world where our protagonist thrives as a hero. The world-building is phenomenal and hooked me to the story. I loved the descriptions, the imagery, and how immersive the whole story was. Noah is such a reliable protagonist. His experiences, emotions, and actions are all genuine. Noah’s internal struggle between pursuing his dreams and embracing his destiny gives the narrative emotional depth. The concept of Noah's psychic abilities and the mysterious Stormbringer provides a compelling magical framework for the story. The threat brought by Ure ensures the readers are entertained with constant action and high stakes. The fast pace, incredible character development, and the intense atmosphere of the plot make it a must-read. I highly recommend this book!
