Climate change is a phenomenon that affects us all equally. The changes have been so drastic that they have damaged various ecosystems all over the planet. This situation must be addressed. That is why The Adventures of Captain Polo: Pole to Pole (Coloring Book Edition) is a magnificent publication. This coloring book is in comic book format, making the explanations easier to understand. It is about Polo the bear, on an adventure in search of food and solutions for the environment, because the melting of the ice prevents him from hunting in his natural habitat. Alan J Hesse includes maps to identify some of the areas of the planet that have been affected and includes notes with facts and definitions to reinforce Polo's arguments.
Alan J Hesse cares about nature and teaches us why we should protect it. His message is very comprehensive and informative, that's why I liked it. He makes The Adventures of Captain Polo into much more than a coloring book. The story has something of everything: information, humor, action, and adventure. And since Polo the bear visits many places, children can learn about the planet in the form of a game. I loved the attention to detail and, as a bonus, he includes a link to his club, where kids and teachers can come up with ideas to tackle the issue. That demonstrates his commitment by wanting to convey this necessary message to children.
