Author Biography

I write books purely for my own pleasure as a release of the everyday mundane. I take the view that someone else may get enjoyment from them. If they do great, not everyone will like what i write. But at least it's my shot at putting something out there that someone else may do.
The idea for this novel came when I was staying at a hotel. My room was on the eighth floor. I took the elevator but it sailed past the eighth floor. So, I pressed to go back down to it. And hey! You'll never guess, it went past again, so, I stopped it at the seventh floor, got out and walked up the stairs to the eighth floor. It was then I got the inspiration to write this novella. I thought what if a man stayed at a hotel, he got out at the wrong floor decided to use the stairs back to the floor he was staying on and when he got there found he was two hundred years into the future.
I must admit I have only ever read one sci-fi novel. It was called 'Doom of the Gods',Ragnarok. by James McHale, but I enjoyed it.
Primarily all my other books are comedy's. But this was an idea from a real life inspiration. So there you have it.

Max Stevens is a man with a complicated past and an uncertain future. The only survivor of his team after an accident in the laboratory where he worked, Max cannot hope to live long due to radiation exposure. However, if his time on earth is limited, his destiny is more complicated than ever. In 2029, Great Britain has become a partial police state, and Max will have to fight against people who want him to return to work and who will not hesitate to threaten his family to persuade him. A story set between Max's present and 2229, The Eighth Floor Parallax is the first book in the Max Stevens series by Simon A. Gallimore and it is an exciting read indeed.

The Eighth Floor Parallax is a book I recommend to all lovers of science fiction and action. The adventures of Max Stevens are among the most incredible I have ever read, and from the very first page, I was curious to read the whole story. I confess that I did not know what to expect while reading, and this is the best proof that Simon A. Gallimore has written something unpredictable and exciting. There are no superfluous details in The Eighth Floor Parallax, and the narration flows smoothly and quickly, as should the best books of this genre. I am delighted that The Eighth Floor Parallax is only the first volume in the series, and I hope to have the opportunity to read more of Max Stevens's adventures very soon.
