Do you believe in ghosts, haunted castles, or hidden passages that may lead to nowhere or to some place you do not want to go? For centuries untold the castle, once owned by William Randall, had a secret chamber hidden within it. Upon his death, his nephew and four other relatives were invited to the castle and, with one ancient clue, were given a week to find the hidden treasure. The nephew, Thomas Bryson, a research scientist, also brought with him two psychic scientists with their equipment ready to capture what they could on film. Do ghosts show up on a camera? Do they wear shoes? As they all start to search, bizarre things start to occur, along with murder. There are secret chambers scattered throughout the walls of the castle.
At first I was a little skeptical about this book, as I am not a big sci-fi fan, but the book surprised me. It’s a ghost story with a suspenseful edge to it. 8th grade students and above will enjoy this book.
