Stratus Janice is a champion, a flying ace who wins the top awards in every flying competition. She competes to win, but she competes fairly. After all, what would a win really mean if you had to cheat to win. Felony Fox doesn't quite see it that way. All is fair only if she wins. Her competition is to be eliminated at all costs, even if that means sabotaging the other pilots' airplanes and, quite simply, cheating.
The ICCAC (the International Cloud Crowd Aerial Competition) is a very tough flying competition. Only the top pilots are eligible to compete. The grand prize, the Platinum Wings Award, is much coveted and Felony Fox is determined to win that award. The only problem is that Stratus Janice has appeared on the flying scene and she is much better than all of the other competition. Stratus Janice is already making a name for herself as a flying ace, a daring, brave young pilot. How will Felony Fox beat this competition? Can she beat it? Will she compete fairly?
Jamel Paul is known for his mysteries and detective stories. It's not surprising, therefore, that this book should include a detective as one of the competitors in the ICCAC. His name is Frank McPuffin and he is out to prove that Felony Fox is sabotaging the other pilots' airplanes. Will he succeed in his goal to prove that Felony Fox is a cheating villain rather than a potential flying ace? The Legend of Stratus Janice is a colorfully illustrated early reader. The illustrator, Isella Vega, has captured the characters and the scenes with bright images that fill each page. This book is a delight to read and a great inspirational book for young early readers.
