Alliona was the stability they needed to complete the journey and stick to their plans. The narrative style was great and fit exceptionally well with the concept and the plot. Sophie’s character development was incredible, and I was immediately drawn to her. I know Gabriel was the central character, but it was Sophie who won my heart. The actual story was great; it was intriguing and fascinating, to say the least. I loved the descriptions, the vivid imagery, and the overall feel of the story.

Polyakov excels in providing a distinct personality for each character, which is crucial given the large cast. I enjoyed the dynamic between Gabriel, Sophie, and Alliona. The last quarter of the novel is pure epic fantasy. Recommended to fantasy and supernatural fiction readers.
