What does acting, speaking, ministry and podiatry have to do with success? It's relative; just ask people like Darnyelle A. Jervey, Bryant L. Bentley and Renae Pollard. Success depends upon you and in how you view it. Over seven people lent their stories to Valerie J. Lewis Coleman to create The Wait of Success: How to Become an Overnight Success in 7,300 Days. This self-help book will provide you with the insight, knowledge and steps that you too can take to create your pathway to success. One word of caution is to make sure that God is first in your planning process and that He's gifted you, because as you will see by reading this book, success doesn't come easy and isn't for the faint of heart. To further your growth and development, you will be asked several Success Reflections questions at the end of each story. Additionally, there are four action items at the end of the book to help stimulate you and to keep you strong during your journey.

Reading this book was great because it offered so much richness. When we see people in the media, whether it's music or the entertainment industry, we believe that it happened overnight. Actually it didn't, at least not for them. They sacrificed through blood, sweat and tears to gain what they have. You would be amazed at what even an athlete or celebrity believes success is. While some say it's being a great parent, others may say it's making a difference or helping others. To help the reader stay encouraged, Valerie J. Lewis Coleman has added some success quotes from people like comedian Kevin Hart and abolitionist leader Frederick Douglass, to illusionist and magician Criss Angel. You want to become successful? Learn first what it takes by reading this book, then roll up your sleeves and get ready to dive in.
