Total Blueprint for World Domination seeks to provide the reader with a boilerplate guide to analyze an individual’s goals in life and how to achieve them. These are presented in segments that deal with exploring your feelings, identifying your loves and passions, and what are your wants out of life. Once you know your goals, achieving them is done through learning, motivation, overcoming fears and hates, and influencing others.

If the reader is expecting an in-depth psychological and social analysis and behavioral profile to guide an individual in discovering his personal aims, and then provide meaningful, positive tools to achieve them, there will be disappointment. Although useful, this short booklet offers a very generalized set of signposts to behavior. The book ignores the real world as it truly is. It is one thing to suggest everyone should create their own world, their own reality, but an individual’s reality is a subset within a larger reality that has its own rules, conditions and impositions. Regardless of how much an individual desires to achieve his goals, the external world will dictate whether those goals are achievable. The author’s blueprint provides a false sense of what is possible without tempering her advice with tools for how to overcome obstacles thrown up by harsh reality. Nonetheless, as a rule of thumb guide, this book is definitely worth browsing.

Jolene Stockman has the ability to reduce complex social and behavioral issues into readily understandable bullet points. Whether one agrees with her philosophy or not, her easy and understandable writing style engages the reader, and there are enough pearls of wisdom in her book to be useful.
