Author Biography

I starterd writing the Silver Tears Series because I wanted a story to, in a way, follow the "Bad" guy (girl) and not have that character be held back by moral or emotional constraints. I hope that those who read the series enjoy it as much as I enjoy writing it.

"Trouganda" by Daniel J Strait introduces the reader to a new world, and Nakiata. Over a millennia ago it was written that a baby girl would be born with a specific birthmark. That baby girl has now been born and her parents in fear fled away from the elders of their people, finding some peace in a small village called Jin. Growing up, Nakiata would spend her years training with the greatest Master ever known, but there would be a final test and to complete that test she must go out into the world to the dangerous world of Trouganda.

Daniel J Strait has created a rich fantasy land that readers can fully immerse themselves in. With all of the magic and fantasy I have been reading, it does take a little bit to surprise me with new races. Daniel J Strait has managed to do that with all that he has created in "Trouganda". Nakiata as a main character is intriguing and rich and she certainly runs into a lot of things when she leaves the small village of Jin. However, she is a very strong-willed character who seems to push on and there were times when I thought perhaps she was a little to strong. However, the point did come when she could not overcome something right away, when she seemed to soften a bit and that was the point which truly endeared me to this character. I would recommend this book to any reader of the sci fi genre who wants a rich and colorful new world to explore.
