Unboxing the Hustler’s Grit by Vanessa Gowora is a book of encouragement and inspiration. Vanessa tells her story of woe and explains how she overcame difficulties to become successful. Because of Vanessa’s ADHD, she often felt as if she did not fit in. She is differently-abled and that caused many—adults and peers both—to think she would never be good enough to amount to anything special. This book is filled with nuggets of wisdom as one travels down the path to success. Vanessa addresses some of the reasons people don’t blossom and become successful—fear of change, fear of failure, fear of success, etc. By her own admission, Vanessa did not have any unique skills that would make anyone think she would ever become successful. Her life story will inspire the reader as they realize that anyone can become successful.
Vanessa Gowora has given us a wonderful little book about how to become a success in Unboxing the Hustler’s Grit. One must stick to it and never give up. One needs to learn through any failure that failure is the backdoor to success. Vanessa has authored this book in a down-to-earth, conversational style. She writes in easy-to-understand language and avoids technical jargon. This book is also written as an encouragement to succeed and develop a lifestyle of success. Being sure to include the many people who were influencers in her life, Vanessa explains that success requires cheerleaders who believe in you. All successful people never give up, but they also have someone who had shown an interest in their lives and encouraged them to be all they can be.
