A Whyte Christmas: The Happy Holidays Series by Michele Brouder is a festive romantic comedy. Kate O’Connor has always loved Christmas, but not this year. Everything has been against her – the death of her father, the failure of her engagement, and a setback at work. And now she has been tasked with welcoming the company’s VIP client from across the water, the man who is set to save their failing business. To make sure of success, Kate vows to do her best and show the client a great time, but she wasn’t betting on Gavin Whyte, a drop-dead gorgeous man with the most dazzling eyes. And that lilting Irish accent isn’t too bad either! And, with Kate being a magnet for disaster, things could be about to get a little sticky for Cline & Co.
A Whyte Christmas by Michele Brouder is a delightful story, a real Christmas romance with a large dash of trouble and comedy thrown in for good measure. I really enjoyed reading this, a quirky story with some truly great characters, and a few unconventional ones thrown in for good measure. This is a lighthearted story, with lots of fun and full of love and humor. You can almost feel yourself cringing in embarrassment at some of the things that happen to Kate, and you will definitely find yourself rooting for the pair of them, hoping that Kate will find her love of all things Christmas once again. Definitely an enjoyable story, one for a wintry Christmas afternoon, curled up by a roaring fireplace.
