Brandon's Birthday by Luke Mathius Harlow is the third book in the series and in this one readers get to see Brandon celebrating his birthday. Cards and presents are placed at his table in school and his house is decorated for his birthday tea party. Brandon’s friend, Daniel, has come for the party. Brandon’s family and friends watch as he opens his presents. His birthday cake looks yummy and the food on the table looks delicious. Once everyone has eaten, the party games begin. Brandon gets lots of presents and he has a great birthday. Then the party is over and it is time for him to go to bed.
This series on Brandon is enjoyable and children can connect well with the stories. The photos are lovely and they make the words come alive for readers. It is a good bedtime storybook for parents and grandparents to read out to their kids and grandkids and can be used for read aloud sessions in classrooms and school libraries. The story will put a smile on the faces of young readers and the author captures the birthday party ambiance very nicely.
It is a simple storybook for kids. Books like this are good for children to teach them a lot of new things, which can be easily understood when put across as a story and with colorful pictures. Brandon is adorable and lovable and his birthday party is one that every child will want to have!
