Break the Grind: Your Destiny Awaits is a self-empowering work that challenges us to examine our lives and find the appropriate path that fits our needs. Adam Sutcliffe introduces a detailed plan to help readers to find a new direction. The author takes readers through several steps along the road to fulfillment through self-knowledge, and learning from history without becoming a prisoner of the past. In doing so we can learn from the successes and failures of others and apply the wisdom gained. The book covers most aspects of life, from family, business, personal finance, travel, and experience aspirations to material possessions and our bucket list. All of these are tied together to make a cohesive whole by bringing organization, structure, order, clarity, and control to our routine. This involves commitment and ongoing education, which in turn will lead to a continued reassessment of our belief systems and priorities. Alignment with business and relationship partners is highlighted, as well as leadership roles and the need to accept responsibility for our actions. The power of words and their use is an often neglected topic but is prominently featured. A winning mindset, focus, and self-belief are also promoted. Embrace enthusiasm, turn setbacks into opportunities, and never give up!

Break the Grind is both concise and practical, filled with conventional wisdom that has retained its value and relevance, but is often overlooked. I particularly applaud the holistic approach that does not put financial prosperity either at the forefront of our ambitions or as a measure of success, although financial independence remains important. Instead, health is cited as the top priority, both physical and mental, which is a key component of well-being. Adam Sutcliffe presents the information in a logical, readable, and perceptive manner without over-elaboration or being prescriptive. The key concepts are printed in bold type to highlight the points being made. The author quotes authorities such as Aristotle, Oscar Wilde, Winston Churchill, Steve Jobs, and others to provide further insight and inspiration. Guidelines on keeping a journal are provided, and how to use it as a follow-up tool. There is a useful list of 50 ways to make a living or supplement your earnings with a side hustle. Additional help is available on request via email. This is the first book in a series and is backed up with checklists to help you set goals and commit to them. It is empowering, informative, inspiring, and highly recommended.
