Decker Brown and The Monster Club by J. A. England is a unique story full of fun, adventure, and mystery. It has plenty of action and loads of twists and turns that keep you reading. Each chapter ends in a way that makes you carry on reading – this is one of those books you’ll want to read in one or two sittings, and you’ll struggle to put it down. The characters are well-developed, real people that readers will relate to, and there are some pretty neat creatures, too. This story touches on issues that are real to the target audience – bullying and lack of self-confidence, to name just two – and it teaches the value of friendship and compassion, along with the importance of friends and family. Overall, an enjoyable read that kids will thoroughly enjoy.
