In Do Not Resuscitate by Scott Eveloff, MD, Harry Lindmark, an intern at Narragansett General Hospital, experienced the loss of a young patient who was not meant to die. Doctor Travis, a patient of Harry, warned Harry that years ago, he had alerted his colleagues that ghosts were harming his patients. No one took Travis seriously. Travis refused resuscitation because he believed the ghosts were targeting him because he knew about them. Harry and his wife had suffered the loss of their child, leaving her to grieve alone at home while he was at work. One day, Connie introduced Harry to her new friend Denise, along with her daughter Audrey, and they all clicked immediately, particularly Harry and Audrey, who formed a strong bond. But the sinister force haunting the hospital came close to endangering those Harry cared about, and he was determined to protect his loved ones at all costs.

Do Not Resuscitate by Scott Eveloff, MD, is an eerie and thought-provoking medical thriller. It immersed me in a world where science meets the supernatural with dreadful outcomes. The story was gripping and emotionally intense. The portrayal of events felt so authentic that I felt as if I were living through it myself. The characters were intricately developed and believable, including the ghosts. The hospital environment acted as a character in itself, transforming into a battleground between life and death. The writing was exceptional, keeping me engaged from beginning to end. I found myself racing through the pages, eager to discover what would unfold next. At times, this thriller resembled a horror tale, and I often found myself anxiously biting my nails in anticipation. I was so absorbed in the book that it took me a moment to realize I had reached the end.
