Author Biography

Dr. Tee-Tee loves children of all ages. She is eager to understand the beauty of all cultures and loves writing stories that make people laugh, think, and learn how to be good to themselves and to others.
A lover of education, Dr. Tee-Tee is a proud alumnus of Ben Davis High School (2008), DePauw University (BA in Biochemistry with minor in English Literature 2012), Butler University (Masters in Pharmaceutical Sciences 2014), and Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine (medical degree received in 2020). A two-time AmeriCorps volunteer (2013-2014 and 2022-2023) her time serving is what jumpstarted her desire to use her voice, time, education, and talents to give back to her community.
When Dr. Tee-Tee isn’t on the inpatient unit or in the outpatient clinics caring for the pediatric patients she loves, she is learning more about and advocating for children as an active member of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP). Some of the AAP committees she is currently a trainee member on include are the AAP Council on Communications and Media, AAP Council on Quality Improvement and Patient Safety, AAP Minority Health and Equity Initiative, and AAP Council on School Health. However, the most important titles to Dr. Tee-Tee are being a Christian, a daughter, sister, wife, and, like Ife, a proud Nigerian-American.
Dr. Tee-Tee credits her Christian faith and the support from her family and friends for how she has accomplished so much-- and she’s just getting started!

One very important lesson that Ife learned is that it is okay to ask for help and continue improving. Encouraging others is a great way to make friends.

Reading is one of the most important skills a person can learn, but it can be difficult for many children and adults. Ife and the Reading Rockets by Dr. Tee Tee Books helps children understand the power of reading. Along with a wonderful story, the author shares some keys to becoming the best a child can be. The rhyming sentences will help keep your child’s attention as they learn to imagine they are limitless, just like the sky. Rolando DeCastro does a great job with the illustrations. Dr. Tee Tee gives many words of wisdom, including that complaining about a problem never fixes it. At the end of the book is information for parents, teachers, and guardians to share with children.
