While Emilia is determined to get revenge on the man who killed her father, will Dom beat the lure of the darkness of his past and redeem himself? Follow this story of an irresistible attraction, of love and darkness, and a light that floods the heart of the reader.
Diana Hicks is a skilled writer and her gift for plot comes across powerfully through this narrative. While the plot is deftly structured, it is the strength of the conflict that makes the narrative irresistible. The reader is introduced to characters that are humanly flawed and existentially broken, and it is interesting to follow them as they navigate the psychological and emotional conflicts that drive the narrative. The characters are well developed and the backstory so ingeniously crafted that it spices up the narrative without distracting readers. The prose in Love Over Logic is crisp and enticing. This author is a mistress of her genre and she knows how to create the suspense that keeps the reader turning pages, with points of view that are clearly written and focused, and emotional scenes that grip the reader strongly and keep their attention.
