Sleepy Stegosaurus: A Naptime Story by Megan Deliberto introduces children to a wonderful little dinosaur named Stanley Stegosaurus. He is playful and friendly and has lots of other animal friends. He is also very fond of joining his friends in playing dinosaur games. The neat part about all these games is the various bright and colorful other prehistoric animals children will meet. It’s so cool to meet Stanley’s friends. Each one has its unique color, plus children are introduced to several different kinds of dinosaurs. While generally always eager to engage in play, in this particular episode of his life, Stanley is having difficulty joining in the fun and games because he is just too tired.

I very much enjoyed Megan Deliberto’s Sleepy Stegosaurus: A Naptime Story. This book is such a great way to teach children how to accept the fact that it’s okay to need some extra rest and nap time. In addition, the author includes an educational pronunciation key for the names of all the dinosaurs mentioned. This makes it an even stronger tool for helping children to learn. The best part of the story for me was Stanley’s encounter with the wonderful Compsognathus (Kamp-sog-na-thus) named Cooper. Cooper is one of the best kinds of friends a dinosaur can have when life isn’t its comfortable and ordinary self. The story is illustrated by Tiemoko Sylla and the illustrations are vibrant and realistic, giving each animal his or her own unique personality. Thank you, Megan Deliberto, for your engaging and heartwarming story.

Sleepy Stegasaurasis: A Naptime Story by Megan Deliberto is a book that promises to enrich your child's learning journey. Its engaging narrative and interactive elements make it a valuable resource. As your child explores the world of cleverly named dinosaurs, they'll also learn about friendship and the importance of listening to their body.

I enjoyed the storyline of Cooper and Stanley's friendship. It showed compassion, empathy, and what it means to be a true friend.

Your little one will also learn the importance of listening to their body and knowing when to slow down when tired or not feeling well. These lessons were all learned while also looking visually at the beautiful illustrations by Tiemoko Sylla. This book is a learning visual journey that is a must-read for your little one.
