Hidden within the confines of the walls of his new home, Max Trouble finds a documented will which changes the course of his life in Sunny’s Dream by Mary L. Ball. The unexpected find leads him to the doors of Celestial Investigation, a company run by three fearless sisters, Sunny, Luna and Starr. His interest shifts swiftly from the will to the beautiful blonde seated in front of him. Within no time, they go on their first date and they both realize that they are quickly falling in love with each other. However, no one comes without their own flaws. Sunny learns of Max’s chauvinistic attitude while Max, on the other hand, has a problem accommodating Sunny’s career choice. Will their relationship survive amidst the events ignited by the newly found will?
Sunny’s Dream by Mary L. Ball is an interesting romantic story that is built on the Christian faith. The book contains important themes that surround relationships amid different aspects of a changing world where women explore less conventional career paths. Mary L. Ball weaves an enthralling story while creating a balance between romance and mystery. As Sunny works to solve the puzzle of the will, the action that follows is engaging and adds to the intensity of the overall plot. The author does a great job of interweaving faith, relationships and work. Max’s attitude also reflects the flawed traditional perceptions of women, who they should be and what is expected of them. I liked Sunny’s courage and determination as she continued working in her dream job despite Max’s objections. The book is definitely a delightful read.
