Inge-Lise Goss is a multi-genre author. She was born in Denmark, raised in Utah, and now lives in the foothills of Red Rock Canyon with her husband and their dog, Ted. She spends most of her time in her den writing stories. There, with her muse by her side, her imagination has no boundaries, and her dreams come alive. When she’s not pounding away on the keyboard, she can be found reading, rowing, or trying to perfect her golf game, which she fears is a lost cause.

Tegen Punishment is a fantastic story written by Inge-Lise Goss. This contemporary tale follows the journey of Sara Alston, a human/spider immortal with unique DNA and enhanced abilities. As punishment for breaking Tegen law, she must help capture Theodore Snyder, a dangerous Tegen fugitive who has evaded arrest for several years. Ordered to assist Tegen enforcer Kendall Vickrey, she must go undercover as a nurse and gain the trust of Snyder in the hopes of luring him into a trap. However, amid danger and murder, it becomes difficult to know who is on which side. Still, Sara is in too deep and too many people might die if she falters.

While many books are still dwelling on the usual eternal creatures, with Tegen Punishment Inge-Lise Goss brings a whole new and refreshing species to the genre of contemporary immortals. Tegens are a fantastic creation, bringing to life an interesting and exciting world filled with imagination and intrigue. Since spiders give many the shivers, it is a fascinating idea to combine them with humans to make a new and powerful race. (Spandex not included) The characters are rich, well-rounded, and easy to root for, especially Sara, who remains true to herself, no matter who is around her. As well, the pacing kept me wanting to read to the end. "Just another page and I’ll go to bed" led to a long night of reading. Every scene is vivid and alive. Tegen Punishment is a thoroughly enjoyable read, and I look forward to more from Inge-Lise Goss, who is a very capable author.

Tegen Punishment by Inge-Lise Goss is a spellbinding fantasy that stands apart in many ways. Just like many fantasy writers have written about all forms of creatures, including vampires and werewolves, this book features a mutant hybrid with combined human and spider DNA. “To remain in a human-like form, Tegens must consume venotrolia, human blood tainted by Tegen mutant spiders, and periodically devour tainted human flesh. A Tegen’s only enemy is fire.” One notices that a Tegan is a deadly creature and one of the worst enemies of the human species.

In this spellbinding story, the reader is introduced to Sara Jones who leads the hunt for a renegade Tegen that kills both humans and spiders. Can she, even after masking her identity, penetrate his hideout, take him out, and get out of there without facing serious consequences? But the task is as difficult as it is dangerous and while the clock ticks, more human lives are in danger. When Sara decides to hire a ruthless gangster to help in capturing the Tegen, she is unaware of his real motives, which could land her with more problems. She has to use her skills to contain overzealous collaborators while pursuing a deadly and elusive enemy.

Inge-Lise Goss writes well and her narrative voice is powerful and clear. I enjoyed every bit of this story, especially the idea of a Tegen — and I heard the word for the first time. The characters leap off the pages with so much life and the reader can relate easily to them. I loved the complex and well-imagined plot with its twists and surprises. Tegen Punishment is a brilliantly accomplished story with great potential to entertain a very wide audience. I just became a fan of Inge-Lise Goss.

Tegen Punishment by Inge-Lise Goss is a spellbinding story about the hunt for a deadly creature and the perils that accompany it. A Tegen, a “mutant hybrid species with combined human and spider DNA,” has gone wild, killing both humans and spiders. This has been going on for two years now and anyone who crosses his path may meet their doom. The Tegen enforcer, Sara Jones, will do anything to apprehend the Tegen, but it needs a lot of skills to penetrate his hideout. Changing her true identity might not be enough to catch the elusive rascal, but when a drug lord shows up in town, Sara hires him. Little does she know that the drug lord has his own agenda and that it might not be entirely about catching the vile Tegen.

This is a great story and the definition of a Tegen was lovely. The Tegen seems to be the author’s own creation and I found this equally intriguing. The story is a success on many counts. First, its originality will surprise readers and the plot lines will have them turning the pages nonstop. There is a compelling cast of characters enmeshed in a deadly and very powerful conflict. Sara is one of the characters I loved most and seeing her pressured to solve the Tegen case makes my pulse go faster. I also enjoyed Kendall, Newark, and Dr. Worthington, who are well-sculpted characters too. Inge-Lise Goss develops strong dialogues and the reader finds himself or herself immersed in the world of the characters by following the dialogues that read so naturally. From the language to character development, Tegen Punishment is a fantasy that is very satisfactory. It was a fun read.

Tegen Punishment by Inge-Lise Goss is the third novel in the Tegen series and continues the story of Sara Jones. This time, Sara has to find someone who is a far more powerful, clever and lethal Tegen - he can do anything. She is starting a new chapter in her life; she is assisting a Tegen enforcer, and now her job is to find and stop that one renegade Tegen who has evaded capture for two years. However, a life is nothing to him, so Sara has to conceal her name and her identity and become someone else to find him in his secret hideout.

However, finding him while keeping her secret identity intact is becoming too difficult and she may have to accept the help of someone who can be dangerous not only for her, but for everyone involved. She can approach a crime boss who will help her, but at what cost? Can Sara trust him? Can she accept help from a man who has his own agenda? At the same time, she needs to maintain her cover and make sure that she finds the renegade before it is too late. Can she do it?

Sara is such a cool character, she is not afraid of anything and she is not scared to take risks. She is a complex character; she is objective and is ready to take chances. I really liked the element of surprise and mystery. I made so many judgments about so many characters and all of them were either spot on or were the complete opposite and I loved it. I could not guess what would happen next and that was just perfect for me. Inge-Lise Goss kept me guessing and I loved every moment of it. Truly brilliant read!

Inge-Lise Goss’ Sara Jones, now known as Sara Alston, is back and better than before. Having harboured a fugitive Tegen, Sara faces the consequences and awaits her punishment from the Tegen Council. To her surprise, punishment comes in the form of being recruited by the cold-hearted Tegen enforcer, Kendall, who needs her skills with man-made weapons and proficiency in self-defense to hunt down and seduce an out-of-control Tegen, Snyder. With Snyder hiding himself away in a compound called Fellowship of the Good Earth, Sara has to navigate through enemy territory as an undercover nurse, trying to work together with Kendall and his team, all while handling her overprotective boyfriend, Conner, and trying not to give away her biggest secret.

If you are looking for an action-packed book that constantly leaves you on the edge of your seat, this book is definitely the one to read. The moment I read the first chapter I was instantly drawn in by the unusual punishment the Tegen Council gave Sara. I was interested to see how she and Kendall would work together during their assignment when she could barely tolerate him. Everything was very well thought out, from the story plot and plans down to every character’s background and purpose. I spent most of the book constantly on the edge of my seat as I tried to figure out who Snyder was among the many disguised Tegens and mortals, as well as trying to figure out who was on Sara’s side and who was just pretending. The storyline is something new to me; it constantly left me questioning who was to be trusted and kept me mystified until the end. Even when I thought I had everything figured out, something new always popped up, and I had to start over. I loved it! The suspense and mystery made me keep turning the pages. I felt like this book had trapped me in its own spider web of adventure and mystery, drawing me in the more I read.
