Join Robin Winter and her friends in J. Treacy Cole's Cult Following: Book 2 in Robin Winter's Tales. Robin Winter is a seer. She sometimes sees glimpses of the future; at other times it's just a glimpse into people to reveal if they are good and kind-hearted or if they have inner turmoil. Her father has been missing for a while, and years after the police closed his case, Robin is still wondering what happened to him. She knows that he was researching a cult group called the Truth Seekers. In a quest to find her father, Robin enlists the help of Jonas, the town drunk who is also a seer. Robin and her friend David go to the Truth Seekers' camp to dig for information that will help find out what happened to her dad. Her father's investigation of the cult may have revealed secrets the group would like to remain secret and Robin has come to reopen the case. The more Robin learns about the Truth Seekers, the more she knows she is close to finding the answers she's been looking for, but everything comes at a price.
J. Treacy Cole's Cult Following is a fast-paced paranormal thriller that is sure to keep you on your toes. As soon as the story begins, we are catapulted into Robin's world with her wondering about what happened to her father. Cole's writing is graphic and imaginative with a real-world depiction offering a glimpse into the cult world. The author is very vivid in depicting the dangers that Robin faces when she goes off on her own to find the cult and then joins them. The cult's rituals for "cleansing" were compelling. I could see when Robin struggled to remember her beliefs due to the torment she endured and the conflict in some of the characters as they saw the results of their work on her. Robin's journey ultimately questioned her beliefs, and values, and tested her will to survive. This mystery is full of surprises, twists, and turns. This is one for readers who enjoy action, suspense, mystery, and a little bit of the supernatural.
