Doppelganger by George Schwimmer PhD brings back to life the Oswald we think we know, Harvey, to tell us what really happened to President John F. Kennedy. “Harvey” shares a fascinating story of two Oswalds, one born in Hungary, Harvey, and one born in New Orleans, Lee. The intricate mosaic “Harvey” pieces together is a compelling tale that answers perplexing questions as to how “Oswald” could be in two places at the same time, and how he could have been identified on an air force plane after the assassination! Add to this the saga of two “Oswald mothers,” also strategically interchanged, and you have a “truth stranger than fiction” story backed up with solid sources and photos.
Those of us who remember when John F. Kennedy was gunned down in Dealey Plaza, on November 22, 1963, instantly knew that the United States would never be the same again. We were not wrong. It was the end of Camelot, the day the music died. We believed the official story then, but over the years the storyline became more and more doubtful. Dr. Schwimmer’s meticulously researched and masterfully told rendition of two Oswalds cycling in and out of this real life tragedy puts together a much more credible mosaic. Reading Doppelganger is like putting together an intricate puzzle that looks totally different from what it is supposed to look like. One, however, cannot deny the picture in front of them. This is a fascinating tale that sheds light on one of the darkest chapters in American history. Wonderful job! I really enjoyed it.
