When she meets her cousin who now bears her late father’s title, everything she had imagined that could go wrong does. The new Lord and Lady Berkley find amusement in treating Elianna like their servant. When an opportunity presents itself to visit London, Elianna takes it, even if it means being stuck with the annoying Lady Caroline. In London, she is doubtful anyone will remember her glorious days, the days when she lived with not a care in the world. A chance encounter has her conversing with the attractive Lord Sinclair who is immediately entranced by her beauty and manners. Still, the obstacles to having her old life back are too great and Elianna is unsure of Sinclair’s intentions.
