Haisley's Birthday Money is an informative children’s picture book by Nycole Freer and Toni Anne Villegas. Illustrated by Seema Haider, it is designed to teach children financial literacy. It’s Haisley’s birthday and the family is ready to celebrate the special day with cakes, balloons, and games. As expected, the little girl also receives birthday presents. She gets birthday money but she doesn’t know what to do with it. Her mom teaches her to be organized and imagine three buckets marked save, spend, and give. The first bucket is for money she can save and safely deposit in the bank where it can gain interest too. The money in the second bucket is for spending on a project or toys that she likes. And the third bucket is for money she can use for giving to loved ones and organizations that help people in need.
Haisley's Birthday Money by Nycole Freer and Toni Anne Villegas is designed to teach children of all ages that money is not only for spending on themselves, it can also be saved, shared, and used to help others. This is a children’s picture book that not only has meaningful illustrations but also has important lessons. Children can easily relate to Haisley as they look forward to their birthday presents. Narrated in easy-to-understand rhyme, this book is a fun way to teach children how to handle money. In this way, your children can develop sound money habits and attitudes at a young age. Teaching kids about saving and spending will also help them understand why they can’t always get what they want. Ultimately, Haisley's Birthday Money can help parents give their children a strong foundation they can build on as adults and set them on a path toward a successful life early on. Highly recommended!
