Authors Joseph McCarthy and Holly DiBella-McCarthy present a heartwarming tale for young readers with Roy the Koi. Inspired by one of the authors' own experiences, this picture book tells the story of Roy, a koi fish that won the hearts of people in a small town. Roy lived in a beautiful lake surrounded by tall pine trees. People from all over came to see Roy blowing tiny bubbles and doing gentle swirls that offered them hope and comfort. He became the town's beloved mascot. However, one day, when visitors called out for him, Roy didn't blow any bubbles. He just floated onto the surface. Roy had stopped swimming and breathing. The entire town felt his loss. Yet, the people always kept him in their hearts and cherished his memories.
