In 2014 the murders of a Wall Street economist and a Navy SEAL along with the attempted murder of a local doctor all in Manhattan only miles and minutes apart at first appear unrelated. However, two NYPD homicide detectives soon discover a connection. They in turn ask for assistance from the Department of Homeland Security. As things move along they find the cases interwoven with victims and witnesses with the investigators somehow related. When the cases finally merge, they start to chase down the killer even though the Feds as usual don’t really want to help. Along the way they uncover a terrorist plot that will generate a financial crisis bigger than any ever seen on Wall Street. But that’s not all...Can the forces for good conquer the forces for evil? "The Midas Bomb" is a very well-written, action-packed thriller. The author quickly introduces some very interesting characters. It took a few chapters for me to sort them all out. The plot is intriguing and thought provoking with many twists and turns along the way. I found myself wondering if something like this scenario could really happen? I do have one little criticism. The author chose to change scenes in the middle of pages without notification. Sometimes it took a few paragraphs before I realized the scene had changed, particularly early in the story. However, once I figured out the author’s style, I really got into the story and thoroughly enjoyed it from start to finish.
