Chosen is the second book in The Skyborne Legacy series by Cheney Leigh Scott. This is the story of Cody Raine, a female Nephilim who finds herself in trouble as she is trying to help the Skyborne, only to be taken hostage. When she sent a tip for the location of the missing warrior called Aiden, she had no idea that the SKyborne warriors would capture her and keep her in a dungeon. However, the most unexpected of all is meeting one Jamie McTavish. This man tests her limits in every way possible. His handsome face and chiseled body are enough to make anyone lose their mind, but there is something about him that speaks to her soul. He could be the one for whom she would be ready to fight any battle and try to conquer her demons. However, will she ever get the chance to explore what is between them?
Fast-paced, exciting and entertaining, the second book in the Skyborne Legacy is just as good as the first book, which is saying something. I am a fan of how the author can write such complete and cohesive stories in limited pages. Cody and Jamie are simply made for each other; they complement each other and allow each other to grow while supporting each other. The flow of the story is great, the narrative is smooth and the characters are given the time and attention they deserve. This was a sweet, steamy and exceptional romance that I enjoyed thoroughly.
