Healing Cancer; The Complete Way by Lawrence Doochin explores the profound journey of dealing with cancer and how it extends far beyond the physical aspects of the disease. The author delves into the emotional, spiritual, and psychological dimensions of a cancer diagnosis, offering readers a holistic perspective on healing. When confronted with a cancer diagnosis, individuals often grapple with a multitude of questions and fears. Doochin emphasizes the importance of not making rushed decisions driven by fear, as such choices may not be in the best interest of long-term health and well-being. The book introduces the idea that cancer serves as a wake-up call, shedding light on aspects of our lives that are not aligned with our highest good. These include dietary choices, lifestyle, emotional and spiritual health, and belief systems.

Lawrence Doochin has undergone his own cancer journey and writes with deep empathy and compassion for those facing cancer and their loved ones. Healing Cancer: The Complete Way guides readers from despair to optimism, peace, and gratitude, offering a comprehensive approach to dealing with cancer and finding inner healing. This book is a heartfelt and compassionate exploration of cancer and the intricate web of emotions and beliefs that surround it. Doochin brings a unique perspective to the subject, blending personal experience with profound spiritual insights. His dedication to helping individuals navigate the complexities of cancer and find healing is evident throughout the book. As a cancer survivor myself, I thoroughly enjoyed Healing Cancer and agree with everything the author has written.

Healing Cancer: The Complete Way by Lawrence Doochin looks into cancer and health challenges, emphasizing empathy, language's impact, false beliefs, and emotional well-being. Doochin advocates a holistic approach and the importance of diet, health, and the universe. He promotes personal growth and balanced decision-making while homing in on the roles of beliefs, hope, and self-awareness in the healing process. He presents a six-step healing cycle, which involves addressing deep-seated beliefs, self-compassion, and releasing judgment. Doochin encourages using cancer as a catalyst for spiritual growth, trusting in life's unfolding, and recognizing divinity in all individuals. He teaches that the removal of judgment leads to gratitude and wonder while addressing life's mysteries through surrender and faith, acknowledging the fear of change's pain as a hindrance to significant transformation and deep self-examination.

I was drawn to Healing Cancer by Lawrence Doochin because of the rampage of one form of cancer that impacts every generation of my wife's family, my desire to look into alternative perspectives, and also because the book is unlike most of the self-help books on cancer available. Doochin writes in a comfortable, accessible style that often feels much more like a conversation with a friend than it does a guide. The part that stood out to me, particularly in the sense that I have a tendency to look far down the road first, is Doochin's poignant assertion that what we have in our lives at this very moment is what it is. He discourages dwelling on past regrets or future worries, urging a focus not just on the present but on finding peace and gratitude in the now. The book's layout makes referencing it as needed a simple task, and I am pleased to have found both the book and the author. Very highly recommended.

Cancer is a disease that turns people's lives upside down, and currently, millions around the world are affected by cancer. Lawrence Doochin experienced this disease himself and underwent all the trials and tribulations associated with it. In Healing Cancer, the author shares some valuable insights to help people diagnosed with cancer navigate this turbulent period of their lives. According to Doochin, our biases and preconceived notions can sometimes get in the way of critical self-analysis, which is sorely needed while undergoing treatment for a disease like cancer. He reinforces the benefits of a plant-based diet and urges patients to make healthy lifestyle choices that help in the recovery process. Emotions like anger and fear fester with dysfunctional patterns, and it is vital we curb those negative impulses and embrace the healing journey with our mind, body, and spirit.

With Healing Cancer, you will acquire valuable knowledge related to the various aspects of the healing journey, such as whether surgery is the best option in your particular situation or not, or going through the five stages of grief while learning how to make the best out of a cancer diagnosis. Lawrence Doochin also explores the 'false beliefs' that hinder our road to recovery, including the refusal to share one's diagnosis with loved ones, lacking independent agency to access treatment, brushing aside the impact of cancer in one's life, disregarding conventional treatment in its entirety, blaming God for the unfortunate circumstances in one's life, and many more. All in all, I found the book to be very informative and inspirational. If you or anyone close to you is battling cancer, I highly recommend this book.
