Two at the End is a dystopian sci-fi novel written by William Nkemdirim. It's been years since the Eyes of the World (Abysses) sprung up across various locations around the globe. Folashade is a Hierodule, emotionless people with supernatural abilities gifted by the Abyss. While tracking a serial killer named the Reaper on behalf of the Agency, Folashade embroils herself in a grand conspiracy involving a powerful corporation called PRN, which has been experimenting on a mysterious metal from the Abyss that can implant decades' worth of memories in an instant. It becomes increasingly difficult for Folashade to continue on her path when she learns that her sister Isafil sacrificed herself to save her. Now, as the Reaper and his clone, Peter the scientist, work their way toward the destruction of humanity, Folashade has a difficult choice to make.

Filled with suspense, intrigue, and a whole lot of action, Two at the End is a wild rollercoaster of a ride you don't want to get off. Author William Nkemdirim touches upon some deep philosophical tangents that make you ponder long after you've finished reading the book. There are also some theoretical scientific concepts the author delves into that will particularly appeal to sci-fi lovers or science enthusiasts in general. I found the characters complex and deeply layered, especially Folashade, who feels like the primary protagonist of the story. The plot is completely unpredictable, taking numerous twists and turns that leave you wondering what's going to happen next. If you're a fan of books such as Jeff VanderMeer's Annihilation, I highly recommend this book.
