In Grayson by Lisa Eugene, Angie Roberts is desperate for money. She is 24 years old and a nurse. In desperation, she takes a job to clean out a house. She thought this would be an easy job, but when she enters the house, she realizes that it is not going to be as easy as she thought. Angie thought that the house would be owned by a really old, sweet man, but it turns out that the owner of the house is 44, built like a dream, and really hot.
Grayson has learned early on that he needs to live his life alone. Due to his condition, he prefers seclusion to the company of his family and his son. But when this nurse came into his house, he felt something that he forbade himself to feel a long time ago. Angie is sweet and kind and he cannot let her get closer. His illness is not for a soft hearted person like her. But the more he pushes her away, the tighter she clings onto him. What can he do when she will not let him go? Letting her in is not an option, but what if he did? Can he take this chance?
There are some novels that have the tendency to forcibly make a place in your heart and never get out. Grayson by Lisa Eugene was that one for me. When I read the blurb, I knew this novel was going to be good, but it exceeded all my expectations. Grayson is such an amazing man and Angie is a really good person. The conflicts in this novel are real and very true. The author didn’t sugarcoat anything and that brought out beauty and real emotions in the novel. You will have to read this book because that is the only way you will truly appreciate it. Five stars and many more! I loved it.
